Therapeutic Approaches
We use a range of evidence-based, therapeutic models which we tailor to each young person as to what will best support them.
Sophia Dawson
My primary therapeutic model is that of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which supports clients to openly and curiously approach their internal experiences, whilst also facilitating behavioural change through supporting actions that take the client in the direction of the life they want to live. Other treatment modalities I integrate into my practice are:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Schema Therapy
- Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Sophia Dawson is also able to provide Clinical Supervision to Psychologists and/or Mental Health Coaches, either in a 1:1 or group supervision (3+ individuals) format.
Samantha Urgert
