Sophia Dawson

Other treatment modalities I integrate into my practice are:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Schema Therapy
  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Sophia Dawson is also able to provide Clinical Supervision to Psychologists and/or Mental Health Coaches, either in a 1:1 or group supervision (3+ individuals) format.

Samantha Urgert

Samantha uses a blend of evidence-based modalities to tailor an approach best suited to the client’s presentations and goals.

Samantha is experienced in the use of:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma-Focussed CBT (TF-CBT)

Health Coaching Services

Hello, I am Caryn Dawson, a Pre Kure Certified Health Coach, available to work with you on all things related to improving your Health and Well-Being.

I am here to support you in making lifestyle changes you would like to make to ensure you live the life you want to live. Lifestyle changes include eating nutritious food, exercise, sleep and connection – all critical factors to ongoing health and well-being. I use each of these factors to support you and your physical and mental health to thrive.

Do you have a weight-loss goal? Are you struggling with sleep? Would you like to work towards running a 10km race?  I am your ally in supporting you to reach lifestyle changes you may wish to make. My Health Coach training has provided me with university-level knowledge on nutritional science, exercise and behaviour that I would love to be able to use to support you reach those goals.

I am also currently studying towards being a Mental Health Coach, for which I will be certified in November 2022. This means that I will be able to provide you with support for mild-moderate anxiety and depression, working with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) skills, as well as being armed with knowledge on how lifestyle (sleep, nutrition and exercise) can enhance your mental health, neuroscience and brain biology, and substance misuse.

I would love to work with you to help you achieve the lifestyle you wish to create.

Mode of Therapy

Please note that all Bloomers Psychology services are provided by Teletherapy.

Teletherapy (also known as Telehealth or Telepsychology) is the growing practice of delivering psychological treatment through video conferencing. Research indicates that teletherapy is an effective method of delivering psychological treatment, equivalent to that of face-to-face treatment.

Benefits of Teletherapy include engaging in treatment from the comfort of your own home, reduction of external stressors (including travel and parking), improved accessibility to psychological support, and provision of consistent care (particularly with less disruption as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic). Bloomers Psychology uses a highly secure and confidential Teletherapy platform (Cliniko), with the link to the teletherapy call being emailed to you prior to each of our sessions.

Cancellation Policy

As a result of psychological support being in high demand, Bloomers Psychology requires 48 hours’ notice for cancellation of an appointment. If you cancel your appointment within 24-48 hours of appointment time, an $80 fee will be charged. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the appointment time, the full session fee will be incurred. This is a result of therapist preparation, as well as the client waiting list.
